CARE OF MICROPHONES

If POP shields are supplied, please always use the when recording vocals and wind instruments.

Moisture is damaging to all microphones, especially condenser models. Let condenser microphones acclimatise in the studio for at least an hour before connecting.

Keep microphones in a warm, dry place when not in use and don’t box or case them straight after use, give them some hours to air before closing up.

All Audio Analysis microphones are fitted for ¼” Whitworth stand attachment, DO NOT attempt to remove the thread adapters from the microphones, they are secured with Loctite. Adapters for other stand fittings are available from us on request, at no extra charge.

Please use the transit cases supplied whenever the equipment is re-located.

Please tape over the catches on cases before shipping, to prevent accidental release of the catch in transit.

Audio analysis expects equipment returned safe and sound, you must ship with an insured shipper. You are responsible for the full value of the equipment until it is in our, or our agent’s hands. Equipment valuations are available from us.

Do not sign courier’s receipt if equipment is obviously damaged.

Please report any shipment damage immediately to Audio Analysis and the courier company.

Please report any equipment faults as soon as they occur. Audio Analysis may be able to assist in correction or replacement of the equipment. Immediate reporting of faults also helps us with planning subsequent hires.

Remove all packing cardboard pieces from inside rack cases before using equipment. Replace packing before transit to prevent stress on front mounts and scratching of panels.

Ventilation is important, be aware of heat during operation, keep cases open and unobstructed for equipment ventilation.

Please use the transit cases supplied whenever the equipment is re-located.

If you wish to remount the equipment in your own rack, be careful not to scratch or damage the panel –especially the front. Always use fibre or plastic washers under the mounting screws and be careful not to scratch panels.

Please tape over the catches on cases before shipping, to prevent accidental release of the catch in transit. Also tape around the front and back joins on plastic cases to prevent accidental opening, the catches are not secure.

Be sure to return manuals and accessories with the gear.

Audio Analysis expects equipment returned safe and sound, you must ship with an insured shipper. You are responsible for the full value of the equipment until it is in our, or our agent’s, hands. Equipment valuations are available from us if required.
